We're excited to announce that Scott Simpson has officially joined our team. 43 years of construction experience, civil engineering technologist (CET for short) from being a building inspector, to manager of building inspections, he's able to discuss with most municipalities and customers on how to get through the permit process as well as a structural genius! We did a site inspection for our load-bearing wall job in Sharon as this didn't make any sense. It's holding load from roof and ceiling joists and has no point loads below. This wall is floating. Only way to save this is a 31' beam from a structural column to the foundation wall to hold the load and make it open concept foe the home owners.

Well it's official, we’ve never seen anything like this before (at least not that we can remember), but it looks like Canada has officially entered into a tariff war with the U.S. These times won’t be easy, but we’ll get through them together.
Now more than ever, it’s important to shop local and support small businesses. Look for “Produced in Canada” labels at your grocery store and choose Canadian-made products whenever possible. Every purchase helps strengthen our economy and our communities. Luckily, our business isn't directly affected by the tariffs, but we will be supporting local businesses that will be affected.

Another project around the corner from our office. This home is getting a complete remodel and we will be doing an addition off the left side of the house to accomodate for a foundation problem. By transitioning from hand-drawn interpretations to the advanced iGUIDE system, we’ve significantly reduced the risk of errors—because, as they say, an inch can make all the difference.
So far in 2025, we’ve completed three projects using the iGUIDE system, and it’s already proven its value by cutting our turnaround time by a full week.
We’re excited about all the features iGUIDE offers and how it will elevate our services, especially for creating precise and reliable as-built drawings.
